‘Big Nights’

اٍُلسّلاٍْمّےُعًلٍّيكْم وًٍرحٍمْـُﮧاللّـﮧوًبٍرّكًاٍتُـٍّﮧ
In the light of quraan and hadith , which nights are considered big nights. ?
جـَــــزاكـُــــم الـــلّــه خـَـــــيرًا

 

 

Answer

Assalaamu alaykum

The nights that have added or special virtue are:

The nights of both eids. All the nights of Ramadhaan The 15th of Sa'baan.

In common parlance they are referred to as Big Nights.

There is no added virtue or significance of making ibaadah on other nights.

For a Mu'min, every night is a big night as it is an opportunity to get closer to Allah Ta'ala .

And Allah Ta'ala knows best
