Could molana please advise me on the branding of animals in islam as I have read a hadit something to the effect, were nabi saw walked passed a donkey which was branded on its face and he said may Allah curse the person who marked this animal.
1. Is all branding not allowed or specifically the face , as with south african law the animal needs to be marked for identification purposes which is usually done on the the buttocks of the animal.
2.The other practice which is done is taging of the ear and cliping a tiny portion of the tag is for record purposes ie date of birth ect n the cliping is used to identify the animal different farmers clip diff ways places n dimensions
JazakAllah
