Collective Zikr

I would like some clarity on the following:

– Is it permissible for ladies to make collective zikr in a gathering at a funeral house when no men can hear? And in a case when some men can hear?

– Is it permissible for men to make collective zikr and have khatams after a funeral?

Assalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh

Dear Sister is Islam,

It is not permissible for men or women to make collective zikr and have khatams after a funeral, or at the funeral house. These are innovations which must be shunned.

And Allah Taäla knows best.
