Completion of Salaah

Assalamu alaykum

If one joins a the fard jamaat late.
For example, esha salaat in the 4th raqaat, before the imaam goes into ruku.

1. After sitting and reading at-ta-hiyaatu,
Do u continue and read durood as u would have, or remain silent and wait for imaam to make salaam before standing to complete salaat.

2. In two of the remaining 3 raqaats do u follow sura faatiha, with another sura?

Answer

Assalaamu alaykum

1. One should not recite the Durood. One may sit silent, or one may repeat the At tahiyyaat.

2. In the first two of the remaining three rakaats one will recite surah fatiha and a surah.
