Fasting

Assalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh

Our muslim helper at home is complaining of a stomach ache, I’m not sure if its absolutely unbearable but she is in pain. Is it permissible to break her fast and keep the Qadhaa of it after ramadaan ?

 

 

 

Answer

Assalaamu alaykum

A simple stomach ache is not sufficient excuse to break the fast. If there is some danger to the life, limb, or serious danger to the health, then only may one break the fast.
