Assalamu Alaikum
Am a 17-year old girl finishing matric this year In sha Allah, and i decided to do bachelor of accounting science next year and thereafter further my studies to chartered accounting. I would like to know if according to Islam, we are allowed to work at audit firms like deloitte etc as a CA?

Assalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh
Dear Sister in Islam,
Your email below refers.
Firstly, it is your father’s duty to support you. When you get married, it will be your husband’s. If you are divorced or widowed, it will revert to your father. If he is absent, it will revert to your son/s, or if they are absent, it will devolved upon your closest male relative. Therefore from a Sharée perspective, there is no need for you to go out into the business world and earn for yourself.
Secondly, for a Muslim lady to be in the present working environment is fraught with many dangers to one’s Deen and chastity.
Thirdly, a Muslim lady may only go out to work in exceptional circumstances.
Fourthly, universities are dens of vice, which almost certainly will destroy a woman’s Deen.
Fifthly, working in the accounting field very often involves being party to Haraam transactions such as interest and insurance. One will be sinful for being a party to such transactions.
In the light of the above, and many more factors, it will not be permissible for a Muslim woman to embark on such a career path.
And Allah Taäla knows best.
Was salaam
