Haidh Rules

Aslm
A woman who has been menopausal for the last few months- did not experience haidh- starts spotting blood while she is fasting.
Is her fast still valid?

Answer

Assalaamu alaykum

She should continue fasting. Thereafter, if this spotting occurs for 3 days or more, it will be regarded as haidh (menses), in which case one qadhaa will have to be kept for each such day.
