Haidh/Muhtadar

A woman believes her grandfather is in sakraat.
Is it permissable for her to be in the same room as him if she is in a state of haidh?
Also, if he passes away, can she sit in the same room in the presence of the mayyit?

Answer

Assalaamu alaykum

It is permissible for a woman experiencing haidh to be in the same room prior to death.

After the deceased passes away any person upon whom ghusl is fard or a woman in her haidh or nifaas should not sit near the dead person.
