As salamu Alaykum
Kindly advise on the following:
A man traveled from Johannesburg to Durban. He passes Westville (his place of residence) as it is on the side of the highway. He goes to Musgrave. Does he still read Qasr salaah here seeing that he hasn’t yet entered his hometown?
Or does he perform full salaah based on the fact that. he passed his hometown?
Under what circumstances can a person join Salaah and which salaah can be joined?
Members of my husband’s family constantly join Zuhr and Asr or Asr and
Maghrib, sometimes even Maghrib and Esha.
Some of them are from out of town (Johannesburg) they’re here on holiday in Durban for over a month. They say that they’re travellers and so they’reallowed to join salaah.
b) If a person is going out for the day (not more than 77km) say, to the beach or a shopping mall etc, is he allowed to combine salaah here?
My understanding is that both these places have salaah facilities and salaah can be performed in both these places without fear of harassment or judgement. Their argument is that salaah should be combined here so that at the time of salaah one isn’t running around trying to find a place to read salaah.
What is the general consensus amongst the Ulama regarding women performing salaah in the masjid? Going for Jumuah? For Taraweeh?
Should Masaajid be built to accommodate women?
Jazakallah for always taking the time to address my concerns and answer my questions.
May Allah reward you abundantly.
