Jummuah Khutba

السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته

 

Respected Ulama

 

In between the Jumuah Khutba, when the imaam sat, he shouted out in English for the people to come in.

 

Is the Khutba Valid or is it only Makrooh what he did?

Answer

Assalaamu alaykum
The Khutba is valid.
Whilst the Imaam should avoid such speech, if it was necessary it will not be makrooh.
الفتاوى الهندية - (ج 1 / ص 147)
وَيُكْرَهُ لِلْخَطِيبِ أَنْ يَتَكَلَّمَ في حَالِ الْخُطْبَةِ إلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ أَمْرًا بِمَعْرُوفٍ كَذَا في فَتْحِ الْقَدِيرِ
