Nafl Salaah with Jamaat

أ لسلام عليكم ورحمةالله و بركاته

I have heard of Salaatut Tasbeeh being performed in Jamaat – is this permissible?

Answer

Assalaamu alaykum

This Salaah should be performed individually.

We don’t see any benefit or special reason why it should be performed in jamaat.

The general rule regarding any nafl salaah is that one may perform it in jamaat provided there is no call or invite towards such a jamaat.

These practices that people introduce are likely to develop into a bid'ah, and hence should be avoided.
