Perception of time

السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته

Respected Molana, I’d like to know with regards to the Time and how the Hadith speaks about it going faster at near to the coming of Mahdi and the like, are they (the Hadith) making reference to the Time becoming physically shorter (like weeks becoming days) or is it that time will have no Baraka, due to technology or sins that occupy us.

Answer

ASSALAMU ALAIKUM

  By time becoming shorter it means  our perception of time. A day will still have 24 hours. But it will move so swiftly that it will appear to be an hour. Time will generally be devoid of barakat just as  the barkat is eliminated in most things nowadays.
