Assalaamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh
1) When in Madinah, at the Roudha mubarak is it permissible to talk to Nabi ? Or make duaa to him directly. Or should the duaa be made to Allah Ta’ala only?
2) What is the best ibadah to do when on the green carpet at the Roudha mubarak?
3) Is the reward/virtues of sending salaam upon nabi the same if send around musjid-ul-nabawi or outside the musjid and not in the actual roudha mubarak?
Jazakallah
Answer
Assalaamu alaykum
1. It is permissible to address Rasulullah Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. Dua
is only made to Allah Ta'ala. However, one could request Rasulullah
Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam to intercede on one's behalf.
2. Salaah.
3. The virtues are not the same. When one has the opportunity, one should
present oneself at the Raudha itself. However, if there is a valid reason
for not being able to be present at the Raudha, eg. Large crowd, then as a
substitute, one may say salaams from a distance with the intention that the
angels will convey those salaams.
If a very important person comes to visit you, and there is no impediment
from going to meet this person, then will it not be a form of disrespect if
one stays behind and not go forward to greet such a person? Does it not show
some lack of love of that person. Consider this in the same light. May our
lives be sacrificed for Rasulullah Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, we would
love to spend every moment in closest proximity to him. This is the demand
of love. May Allah Ta'ala grant us true love of Rasulullah Sallallahu alayhi
wa sallam, the reality of which is following his Sunnah.
And Allah Ta'ala knows best
Was salaam
