The Jamiatul Ulama Kzn has published perpetual salaah timetables for various cities and towns. The beginning time for Esha can be ascertained from these calendars. Once the time of Esha enters, women may perform their Esha. They do not have to wait for the Esha of their local musjid.

There is no fixed rule that Esha begins 1 hour and 20 minutes after sunset. It differs from place to place, and also according to the seasons.
